About

Denise Kile LymanNo matter what side of the healthcare reform debate you may be on, the most important thing is to keep yourself healthy and stay out of the doctor’s office when possible.  This blog is all about fun, healthy, informative ways to keep yourself living life well so you can do the things you enjoy.

Health and wellness has always been a big part of my life personally and professionally. I enjoy working out with my husband Pete, cooking with a healthy twist, and helping my friends and family do so too.  I run, power walk with my dog Mitchell (who is quite the athlete!), bike, and lift weights.  I’ve been a fitness instructor and enjoyed it immensely, especially since I got to play my favorite dance music and revert to being a fun-loving teenager again for an hour, all while helping others too!

My career has been spent immersed in the healthcare arena via  physicians, executives, healthcare providers, hospitals, wellness centers, medical device companies, and many more. I find modern healthcare and complementary medicine fascinating.

Previously I was in Marketing and PR for the Baylor Health Care System, one of the largest healthcare systems in the country.  I was also a media spokesperson and spent many years proactively disseminating information to the public.  One of the most challenging and emotional projects I have ever been involved with (and there are many) was handling the  onslaught of national and international media attention surrounding the liver transplant of former baseball great Mickey Mantle.  It was gratifying to see  millions become educated about the importance of organ donation and the prevention of liver disease.

I opened Paramount Communications, Inc. several years ago and have worked with many non-medical clients, however the majority of our clients are in healthcare.   I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the most prominent physicians, healthcare providers, and medical companies in the country as well as White House administrations, corporate CEO’s and executives, NFL teams and spokespeople, national news organizations, state governors and more.

Some of our clients are surgeons so I often go into the operating room to watch a  surgery and always find it very fascinating. I also love talking with patients and hearing how they are back to their daily activities and feeling great.  I am also interested in non-invasive treatments and complementary medicine.

I have a degree in Journalism with a minor in Business. I serve on many Boards, including the Executive Board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, President of the Press Club of Dallas Foundation, and am a board member of STOP! Colon Cancer in Chicago.

Here’s to healthy living!
